Ghepan Lake Trek

The Ghepan Lake Trek begins at Sissu, one of the most remote settlements in Lahaul. Little hamlet Sissu is located along the Manali-Leh Highway. Ghepan Lake is a glacier lake also known as the Hidden Lake. It is vibrant blue in colour and immediately charms you. Also known as Ghepan Ghat Trek.
A thundering river leads the Ghepan Lake route deeper into the valley. The valley offers breathtaking views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks as well as a carpet of lovely wildflowers.
The lake, which is 4140 metres above sea level, is a fantastic, less-traveled-to option to hikes to more popular destinations like Bhrigu Lake and Hampta Pass.

Planned Itinerary

• Day 1  Manali to Sissu (3130M) – Drive, 40 Km
• Day 2 Sissu to Camp 1 (4 Km / 3 Hours)
• Day 3 Camp 1 to Camp 2 (6 Km / 4 Hours)
• Day 4 Camp 2 to Ghepan Lake (8 Km)
• Day 5 Camp 2 to Sissu & Drive to Manali
