Neelkanth Lake Trek

Neelkanth lake is surrounded by snow capped mountains and is a perfect place to meditate and seek blessings from Lord Shiva. The lake is believed to be the source of Chandra Bhaga river which is a tributary of Chenab river. The lake is also known as the source of water for the Lahaul valley. The lake is also known for its crystal clear water and is a perfect place for camping and photography. The trek is a perfect combination of adventure and spirituality. It is a perfect place to seek blessings from Lord Shiva and to explore the beauty of nature. The trek is a perfect way to explore the beauty of Himachal Pradesh and to get close to nature.

Planned Itinerary

• Day 1 : Manali – Nain Gahar (Chokhang Road )
• Day 2 : Nain Gahar – Alyaas (8 KM trek)
• Day 3 : Alyaas – Neelkanth Lake (7 KM)
• Day 4 : Alyaas – Nain Gahar – Manali
• Day 5:  Explore the Miyar glacier or Chhudong valley & Castle peak  (4,600 m/15,090 ft).
• Day 6:  Trek Gompa (3,900 m/12,795 ft), 16 km.
• Day 7:  Trek Shukto , 6 km, Drive Manali, 137 km.

What’s Included

• Accommodation in triple sharing tents while camping on the trail.
• All three meals which include Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Including tea and snacks every evening.
• Lunch may be packed for each day depending on the walking speed of members.
• Highly active and experienced trek guide and high altitude cook with prior experiences on the trail.
